School
The "home base" for the MOVB is Nash School, an
old school built at the turn of the century and that is listed
on the National Historical Register. People of all ages for various
artistic functions visit the old schoolhouse. The renovated wooden
floors and spacious rooms offer a perfect atmosphere for artistic
reflection and creation.
The Mid Ohio Valley Ballet Company and School is located at
1311 Ann Street, Parkersburg, West Virginia. The Victorian style
building features:
- 10,000 square feet of Dance Space
- 80 feet of mirrors to enhance learning
- Wooden floors for maximum protection
- Fenced in, secure outdoor play area
- Lunch and Craft Rooms
Mid Ohio Valley Ballet Academy of Fine Arts offers classes
in ballet, tap, modern, jazz and pre-school. The Academy also
features music lessons, art lessons, creative writing workshops,
yoga and fitness for adults and a toddler music program, Joyful
Music Makers.
Registration for classes is accepted throughout the year.
Classes are limited in size and are age appropriate to insure
that each child has the best dance experience possible.
MOVB Academy also offers a full range of Summer Fun Camps
for children and a Summer Dance Intensive for older students.
